Meetings & Workshops 2022

Meeting Dates 1.00pm - 4.00pm

  • February 19th Melanie Kyles will talk about 'Embroidery in the age of technology' How it has transformed and impacted on the world of embroidery

  • March 19th Stitch Day - A retrospective

  • April 16th Stitch Day with an Easter project

  • May 21st Jessica Kinnersley will talk on 'My Journey in Textiles'. Jessica explains her influences and approaches allowing her to produce unique work using vintage fabrics.

  • June 18th Stitch day with a mini project

  • July 16th Pat Ashton-Smith will talk about 'Love letters from the Front'. Exploring the histroy and techniques of embroidered cards sent home by WW1 soldiers.

  • August 20th Social afternnon.

  • September 17th AGM The competition is a 8" x 8" cushion (20cm x 20cm) worked in any method of your choice. Members will choose the winner.

  • October 15th Open Day - details to follow

  • November 19th Stitch day with Christmas project

  • December 10th Social afternoon.


Workshops 11am - 4.00pm

  • March 26th  Whitework with Kay Allan

  • May 28th Canvas work with Lynne Hardy

  • July 23rd Flower Pounding with Deb Cooper

  • September 24th Ribbon Work with Jean Woodhouse

Each workshop costs £25. Places should be reserved in advance, with a non-refundable deposit of £5 payble when booking with Carol Storey​.


The next meeting is on Thursday 1st December 10.00—12.00 am. Bring some stitching or just come along for a chat and a coffee. You can bring a friend, they dont have to be a member of NEATA.
